The Lost Cause Band
Only "The Remnants" remain from the once mighty Party Band which roamed Teays Valley near the turn of the century. Some moved to greener pastures, some retired to the hills, some joined other musical entities. Scattered to the far winds but on special occasions where the beer is cold, the food is deep-fried, and the dancing is hot "The Remnants" of the Lost Cause Band gather to relive past glories! To once again bring senseless medleys where there were none, to again hear Vicki sing while the saxophone player attempts to play guitar.
The Original Lost Cause Band was formed by Whitney and Vicki Hess, Chuck Peterson, Monty Vickers, BJ Nibert, and David Mayse near the turn of the century. Specializing in playing fun songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's they played many venues in the Teays Valley area and also made a few special appearances at venues like Snowshoe, The Greenbrier, and Live on the Levee. As some members moved away over the years new members David Hudnall, Bill Glover, and Kevin Levine joined in as well as Dr. Leonard Fichter. Alas, time marches on and family commitments, jobs and other factors have made continuing as a cohesive unit impossible. But we have the Remnants to bring back some of the good times and maybe someday a full-fledged Lost Cause Band reunion will happen!
